Title: porsche turbo twists

i have been offered a set of porshe turbo twist split rims for sale, just wanted to know if it will fit the mk5
the spec is:
18" 8j front 9j rear. 49 and 52 offset.

225 rear 215 front 40 profile

5x130 (going to get adaptor for 5x112)

The front shouldn't be a problem. The rear may be very tight. The wheel will already be 1.5" wider than standard and with an almost similar offset to standard will stick out 3/4" more than stock. This is also before the adapters are fitted and so the alloys will poke an extra ** for whatever the adapters add to the hub. :smiley:

you have to take an M.O.T in to consideration. to much of a wide rim will fail.

No, no!

They will stick out. The 17mm of extra poke of the wheel will take it to roughly level with the wing - the adapter will take it beyong the wing and you'll get some poke. I don't know the exact thickness of the adapters you'll need, but I'd reckon on at least 15mm of poke beyond the wings.

Looking at the tyres you will also have different rolling circumferences between the front and rear wheels too. 225's on the rear are stock size.

id just get some reps that fit mate, wouldnt bother with all the cr@p  :smiley:

cant find no deep dish reps.. want a staggered look with a deep dish style rim, these are the only ones i found with good offset and got a quote to get rear arches pulled for £80
