Title: Pic Request
Post by: GolfDan on 28 November 2008, 10:42
Bit of a random one. I have put a new battery in the golf but it keeps dying if the car stands for a day or 2 and the car turns over like the battery is dead when its fully charged.

Im thinking its a voltage drop somewhere but I dont know where all the earthing points are?

Anyone got a pic of them (I know its asking alot)

Cheers

Dan

Make sure the courtesy light in the boot is not illuminated due to a knackered switch.

You do realise this could be the very problem! broken wires to the tailgate can cause all sorts of issues... check  the wires are not broken inside the sheathing, next to the left hand tailgate hinge, solder and heat shrink for a proper repair
