Title: New member, long time vwdub addict
Post by: Neo Badness on 28 November 2008, 01:39
Rot finally killed my old mk2 driver, mk3 16v keeping as donor car.

Transit van killed my polo saloon, but not me ;)

Just picked up my 3dr mk2 Oak green 16v yesterday, been after one for a while.

So begins the the resto/improvements.

looking forward to contributing to the site.

I'm a vw geek, self confessed wheel whore and hoarder of bits.

How do you upload photo's? Am I being uber dense?

Nice car Oaky Doaky 16v... evident excellent taste....

Anyone any suggestions for  ABF, 9A or rebore to 2000cc for my new OG?

2ltr bottom end eh? I've been having this discussion already on another thread.

Think I'm erring towards a rebore and rather than putting in a 9A or ABF, although I have an ABF sitting outside the house.

Wanting to keep originality

Hiya,

Your car sounds like mine - is it a J reg too?

What are you gonna do to it?

Hiya, naw, mine is an H-reg oak green 3dr, doesn't look unlike yours
In two minds as to future for it, was originally thinking keeping it looking stock as possible and going with a few tasty engine mods as I've just stepped out of a modded mk3 16v and the mk2 feels a bit weedy by comparison. Thinking of just getting basics sorted first. Then start working through the wish list and see whats feasable on the shoestring.
How about yourself?
