i didnt laugh mate, honest  ;D

claybar will shift it if you're a perfectionist.
im a lazy b*stard however and use industrial strength truck wash! (always wear rubber gloves when handling that stuff)
either way you'll need to put a good coat of wax on after.

Chris.

forgot to mention.. there's a "cosmetics" section on here, usually a good place to ask about cleaning etc..

petrol should get it off but wash it off quickly as its not exactly good for your paint, thats what i use for tar, stubborn bird crap and tree sap

have a nice day

guess what,

Just after typing my first msg, I went out to feed my Lady, went to show her the stain and it was gone, don't ask, cos I don't konw either ??? :o

I used autoglym quick glass cleaner, (can be used on all parts of the car) picked it up from the NEC Motor Show, but when I sprayed it on the stain it didn't go!! All i can say is the birds are playing tricks on me!
