im thinking of getting my exterior black plastic parts sprayed gloss black?
the rear lower bumper section (upper colour coded)
sideskirts
front lower lip section (upper colour coded)
front honeycomb grilles
ive been quoted £450 including primer and spray.
what do you guys think?

Ive seen a car on the US forums that has had a similar thing done - he did the lower rear and the lower front in gloss black. It looked really good!
Not too sure how good the sideskirts would look though - but Im not really a fan of all the black trim on the Golf, hence why i got mine sprayed.
Post pics afterwards!!!

i was after the glossy black look similar to the front grille mask
still deciding on the sides, the guy at the spray shop said to colour code them.
the abs plastic trims on the front would match very nicely to the glossy mask..

Completely agree yep!! :)

....
The trouble is that glossy black sides etc will show up every single mark and inevitable road dirt - You'd be making extra cleaning work for yourself. But, if you like cleaning..............I'll get my coat.

I wonder how much Ed30 bumpers and side skirts are from VW? I imagine they are a shed load more than painting.

yeah i suppose thats one thing to take into account rr
my front mask is now 3years old, still good condtion but when you look closer you can see small dimples were stones have hit it.. nothing major
bobtheclown, it was only last week i saw on ebay a vw dealership selling parts kinda cheap.. sideskirts primed £89.99, few other bits so im guessing soon they will be having a big sale maybe after christmas.
the paint shop guy said it would work out cheaper if i got the parts ready primed but would just cost me more in the long run to buy them :undecided:

its around 6 - 700 for the whole color coded kit isnt it? :undecided: then you gotta paint it all, expensive business!
