Title: Dash Mat cover
Post by: Karloss on 21 November 2008, 22:30
http://www.andysautosport.com/volkswagen/1994_1998_golf/interior/dash/dash_covers/dashmat/dash00115994.html

This link above is to quite a funky little mat protecter for the golf.

Does anyone know anywhere in the uk that sells these?

Now that is something i have never seen before! Whats the reason you want one? I personally wouldnt get one, it will spoil the interior.

Flocked dash's are the shiz! I would get one but don't think it would look right in a mk3, not too expensive to get done either!

you need to take out all the switches and the plastic surround which goes round the clocks.
remove the lower dash trims.
unplug the glove box light and basically any wiring ie speakers etc.
take apart the heater sliders etc (mind you, you'd have to do that to remove the plastic surround).
on either end of the dash there is a screw/bolt, undo both.
in the engine bay, remove the scuttle cover and feel around for the two 10mm bolts either side, about a quarter of the way in from either end.
then pull, wiggle etc and it should come out. it helps to remove the steering wheel for clearance.
