Just had the lads from R-Tech down to remap my 130 tdi to 160bhp Very impressed with them and the car now,a very smooth power delivery. If I decide to go the whole hog in the future ie bigger turbo, uprated clutch, and exhaust I will certainly be giving them a call. I specifically asked for 160 which is stage 1 minus 6%. very:smiley:

lol - yep they were busy fettling mine - i went for the whole shebang though (got the uprated clutch!)

Yer i know you have a uprated clutch..... I stalled it 3 times on the trot :embarassed:
I should be use to it as I have a 3 paddle clutch in my Calibra turbo which it really really bad all or nothing type jobbie.
Ben has fallen in love with Wales (or a barmaid in Chepstow lol) Its his 1st trip ever to cymru, his roots are from Bradford about a million miles away.

just took it for a run, not sure how accurate the computor is but 80 mph 2250 rpm in 6th on the MWay showing 62.5 mpg.

Remap update, Took it to Gatwick airport did 334 miles round trip just over 1/2 tank mostly motorway 70-90 mph. That will do for me, thanks again guys. Ed
-
Hello Again,
Top result m8!
I know you only wanted the 160bhp remap, but how did you find the power on the motorway?
Nick

Sorry lads been away for a while, had a Sachs uprated clutch fitted , quickshift and changed the RS8 replicas (too heavy) for Team Dynamics now it picks up really well thinking of exhaust upgrade but not too loud what do you recommend.cheers Ed

Hello m8
Was your car a Passat or A4 by any chance?
I dont think there is an off the shelf system for your car? You will gain some extra midrange power and faster turbo spool from getting a de-cat and performance system fitted, you will need a system with a good back box which can provide a bit of back pressure to stop the turbo over spooling to early which can kill the torque. To cemplement the remap you could also install a good panel filter and remove the egr (if not at least clean give it a good clean)

you need to modify the original intercooler pipe

As I said it is a Bora, would a milltek catback system be OK. Cheers ED

Hello,
You can have a cat back system, the only system Milltek offer is the discrete back box, if your going for the exhaust it might be worth doing the down pipe aswell? It helps make the midrange power a lot smoother.

got rid of the EGR found it difficult to get the joint (rubber to metal) to fit but a big improvement in pick up. Cleaned up as much as I could in the inlet might remove it later and give it a good clean. A great mod for the money.

I think your map has been set to take the egr delete so you wont get the workshop emissions error comming up on the dash.
We only do Milltek systems, but we can do them at really good prices fitted, the only down fall is we dont offer mail order.
