Title: What does the knock(hall) sensor do?????

Hi all, i have been trying to rectify my misfire problem and have changed plugs/dizzy/leads and i am now going round checking power connections.The only thing i have found is the hall sensor has no power,is this part of the ignition system and where is it powered from?.

please please help its drving me mad lol  :sad:

You will need to get power to that! Will prevent starting I think!

It is running but sounds like only 3 cylinders, but i have a spark on all 4

I  just traced the main knock sensor wire all the way back to the ecu,It has no power to it from the ecu.

I am unsure if i am barking up the wrong tree with this but the car never gave me eny problems before this. Having checked/replaced near enough everything else i have nothing else to lose
