Title: Full Bore Smoke
Post by: rskardon on 20 November 2008, 08:50
Hi there, I was accelerating very enthusiatically from the lights last night and i noticed a light smoke visible in the car behinds' headlights, it was a white colour haze. The car was warmed up but probalby only for about 10mins. it appeared to be the exhaust as there was no wheelspin, is this normal? She's running on Tesco 99 this week if that makes any difference (shell was closed).

Cheers,

Rich

Just exhaust gases, its surprising how much they get light up/reflect with trailing car headlights.  Always abit disconcerting, but I wouldn't worry about it.  Bet you don't notice it during the day!

They'd also be more prominent in colder weather. Not sure if that's to do with the water vapour or something. 10*C is about the temp to notice this smoke in daylight too.
