I know its probably been asked a million times over, but I cant seem to find any answers on the search option....
Can anyone tell me what seats fit directly into a mk1 golf cabby? I dont want to do any modifications just want to take mine out - and put two new fronts in their place.
Thanks. :)

what year is it :)

Its an 88/89 Cabriolet 1.8 GTi. Its got the two runners that the back part slides into and the front has a central type connection which controls the slide of the seat and locking it in place.

Corrado seats are your best bet, best seats VW made for that era as they nice and low and the sides are more supportive than the MKII or MKIII items.

Okay thats great, thanks for the advice. :)
I take it they will bolt straight in (but the handle on the wrong side) is that correct?
Cheers.

right, for fronts mk2 golf and corrado as said, cos its later cab the handle is on the right side, its mk1 seats that fit but forward/back slider on wrong side :)
however rear seats are cabby only, i tried a set of rado seats in mine and it woudl tak a lot of effort to get em in
edit: mk3 frontss will go in with 90spec mk2 frames, scircco seats will also fit straight in
edit2: polo mk3 with height adjust will also fitr and sit lower than MK1/MK2.
