Title: Alpine HU multifunction SW integration
Post by: shug E30 on 19 November 2008, 10:35
Hi All,

I've been looking into changing the standard HU and really like the look of the RNS510 but it is slightly pricey  :undecided: (not saying I won't eventually go for it) so have been looking at some Alpine HU's (rather like the IDA-X100).

I can remember seeing a post on here advising that there are a couple of adaptors required to connect the HU to a multifunction steering wheel so all buttons are functional. (had a quick look but there's just that many posts)

Any change someone could advise please?

Also, is there any VAG-COM settings I need to change for either of the HU's?

Thanks

Sorry forgot to say, MKV GTI Ed30
