Title: MkIII GTI 8v 98R Tyre Question
Post by: malco on 18 November 2008, 14:58
Right, I know there's been plenty of tyre questions posted but on searching I can't find a definitive answer.

I've got a 98R GTI 8v with the stock 9 spoke alloys and it's currently got 205/50's on it. My question is:

Can I run 195/50's on it? They are around £30 cheaper per corner!

Mine was on 205/50 and I have switched to 195/50 with no issues gives you loads more room in the arch.

Tyres are going to have to wait a month now as have just had to have the exhaust replaced from the Cat back.

Ouch.
