If you were buying this....what do you think you should pay? I think its way overpriced given what I have seen on the market..£15k max?

What they have as text on the first image.. "Deposit of £1690 + 48 payments of £269" for that amount you could get a brand new R32 from a dealer.... probably even less than that amount!!

Yep...I am considering a move to the .:R32 :) just don't tell the missus   I am being wooed by the  prices out there....if the right one comes up Or I can get a swap plus cash with an individual unwilling to pay the ridiculously high road tax then I may just take the plunge.....however I don't believe the market has bottomed out yet.

In fact, just saw this

Agreed - £15k max from a dealer. Some of the independents have not yet adjusted their prices in line with VW's discount policy to get rid of the last few new cars. Here for example :

http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/785024.htm

Bet they're wishing they hadn't ordered it !!!

Personally, I agree that the bottom has yet to be reached and there will be some great deals for Xmas/New Year, but the downside is that the massive depreciation will have a knock on effect even on new cars in the future. That said, I'm tempted myself if I could find one from a VW dealer in the right colour/spec

This is the one on the bay.....900 miles and NO OWNERS yet its registered in 07...what's the story there I wonder.

Its all rather tempting...but at the same time depressing too

i still think there`s a bit more to drop in the car market but christmas/early jan should be the best time for a deal, i was looking at the pirelli`s but i think the dealers don`t want to discount them too much but there`s some good deals on 08/57 plate ed30`s

The one above is very tempting, but even if I wanted to go manual, there is no way can I get a buyer for mine at such short notice, the poor bloke will have to trade it in me thinks and be dutifully rodgered by the stealer....still at least the stealer is getting a touch of his own medicine on the retail price of the new r32.  :smug:

as Victor Meldrew said...I dooont beee leeeeve it! Although they would offer next to nothing for my trade in I bet  :(

This is an 08 with the older wheels, 11k on clock, MP usually do imports...its a UK car, registered in June 08, recaros, leather, satnav...they want £8k for me to change, so that means they are giving me £9.5k for mine...

A total bargain for someone out there,...I cant pay £8k to change though

nothing is mooving quickly just now sadly, cant afford to buy without selling....for me its the perfect spec, although i would lurve a dbp version.    I could just about afford £5k...to change not £8.2k....its bloody tempting though. Maybe MP will call back a little later with an improved offer.....still there are PLENTY of cars out there I am sure one will come calling soon at the right price.

why not sell a few bit n bobs from yours. From my experience std cars sell better than modified ones. just a thought :nerd:

excellent idea, off with the milly...though then I'd need a new rear bumper and it coded to match the rest...off with the sat nav, but then i need a std rcd,...hmmm....off with the r32 alloys and new aysmmetrics....och to be honest I am too bloody lazy for all that, but I do see your point though.

Just been down the local VW dealer and spotted a brand new R32 3dr in Silver at just over £19k. Looked good from the outside, but was basic spec inside. I bet if someone tried they'd let it go for £16.5k

Not bought the MP one but how much was it going for out of interest?
Title: Re: How much is it worth?

It was a June 08 with 11500 miles on it, Tornado red, recaros, leather, touch screen sat nav, winter, lux, cruise, sunroof, dsg, one owner, uk car.  It was going for £17599!!!!!!

I was going to give them the £500 deposit to secure and test drive, however dont trust MP not to give refund if I didnt complete.  I think I would have been divorced by now if I had bought it so close to Christmas :) So, it probably would have ended up costing me a heck of a lot more.

Anyway, someone got themselves a fantastic car at what has to be the bargain of the year so far.
