Hi guys , just put new disks & pads on my anni , all working fine mechanically wise ,but now my abs light is on all the time and I have no abs
Also my handbrake light goes off when I take it off but then comes on after about 30 seconds of driving.
Checked fluid levels and there fine.
Tried the MFA reset, no joy.
All worked fine before I renewed anybody any ideas.
-
did you take the abs toothed rings off the old rear discs and fit them to the new discs?
-
no i didnt. doh doh and double doh , thought they looked different
you learn the hard way cheers
-
any tips in getting them off ???? or is it easer to buy new ones ???
-
do the rings come off or are they part of the disc?
-
They are separate to the discs, however it may be easier just to buy new ones, as there is a risk of damaging them when separating them from the disc. They aren't expensive to buy.
-
yeah just had a look at my old ones' they ain't coming off any time soon
any body know if i can get them from GSF Euro etc or are they only OEM
-
euro sell them...about £8 each! i have always reused the old ones and knock them out with a slight tap on a chisel
-
think i'll buy some for £8 , they look like a right nightmare to remove
-
Just get them red hot and they'll drop straight off.....
-
I'd buy new at that price, then the job is sorted.

cant remember how i took mine off, though i remember it was easy, just used a pry bar i think and gave them a tap.
