i've read about this on a few forums, was wondering why do you do it?
is it just to get the induction noice, and let engine breath little better
-
Yup, but personally i'd just get and induction kit.
-
so does drilling the box actually give you the noise like an induction kit?? because ive has a couple of problems with induction kits so im sticking to the K&N panel filter but didnt know you could get a growl lol
-
A drilled airbox with a standard paper filter in it made the same deep growl on my VR6 as with a K+N 57i induction fitted, certainley not worth the cost of buying one new.Cant comment on the other induction kits on the market..
-
has anyone got any pictures of a drill airbox not sure where i would have to drill it

just fill it with 50pence sized holes

i doesnt matter what side top and bottom acers might try it this week

just perhaps leave the side facing the engine in tact (you dont want it drawing in hot engine air)
-
inside wing side is best bet....a few holes (only in the base of the unit! otherwise youll get unfiltered air!) also while the box is off..remove the trumpet and smooth the insides with a dremel etc....
