Title: Heatshield support

The heatshield over my centre pipe has come loose, think my taking it off to fix the gear linkages was the final straw.

Was thinking of using some self locking nuts and washers to support it from now on as the bits that clamp onto the screws are all rusted away. Does anyone know what size/thread nuts to use or how I can find out?

i cant answer your question but you dont really need one as i haven't on my past 2 golf's
