Hi All!
After what seems like a long time I have finally got round to putting some much anticipated photos up of my car! Thanks to everyone for putting up with my hundreds of questions before I got it, not least WhiteGTI along with some help he gave me along the way with the mirror indicator lenses, badge and grill!
Having now done 1000miles I can safely say it is incredible! I’m sure this doesn’t come as a surprise but just how good it is was a surprise to me. I love the amount of power available and it really lets you enjoy driving with it being so effortless. Xenons are amazing and really set the front of the car off! Sometimes I find that there isn’t as much power available as I usually think there is (yes the engine is always warm etc) but then sometimes there’s loads, weird! Other than that I can’t really fault it! I had a slight mare the other day and made a small scratch in the front near side alloy parking it, but it is barely noticeable! On delivery it had a small chip in the passenger door crease, didn’t notice it on inspection. They took it back a week later and sorted it without ruining the rest of the car as some have found! Phewww!
As you can see iv got the square plate on, looks really good, more so in real life as iv had to remove my registration but those of you going to the November meet will see it in all its glory! Unfortunately on photo day I hadn’t got round to permanently attaching the OSIR carbon mask so in some pics it is on, some it is off, but that is a permanent feature!
My only thing to do to finish it off is to get an full turbo back APR exhaust and carbonio after Christmas sometime. Having done that I will be pretty much finished (maybe a remap come insurance time )).
Anyway take a look n let me know what you think! Me and Chris (WhiteGTI) took them this morning so thats his white golf in the melee too!
Sorry iv not been around so much, but changed jobs but I often look in even if I don’t comment! I look forward to seeing some of you at the end of November!
Cheers, Paul.
PS (I hope this photo stuff works, sorry if theres loads but I can’t help myself!)

Lovely mate, lovely!! :)
-
nice car. I know you have that carbon fibre thing on the front, but why oh why have you got that w@nk square number plate on the front, looks
-
First proper pics i've seen of a pirelli - sweet.
-
Sweet looking car Paul
I'd have to see the front reg plate in the flesh to make my final judjement on it as I'd thought about something similar myself if I went with the OSIR front mask.

Thanks!
As cliche as it is, it really DOES look better in the flesh! I rate it massively and it looks so much more aggressive imo! Glad to finally get some pics up, its been tooooo long!

Dont let T_T see this picture :lipsrsealed:
Nice car and obviously the fastest colour...I have also noticed the power thing, mentioned it to my mate tonight. Sometimes feels like it lacks power then it will catch you out and blast off...hmm wierd.
Plate looks abit out of place there..shame we have to have a plate at all as it looks sweet as a nut without one.
Where did you get the black VW badge...soooo many things I want to do to mine but not sure how long I am going to get banned for :(
-
Looks great P. Best colour too! im very jealous!!
-
awesome looking car and I really like the seats, did you get a good price on it? The dealer tried to flog me one at 23k
Another thing I've just noticed is the heater control bezels, yours have a stainless/ali surround on them? is this Pirrelli specific or one of your own mods?
Lovely looking car though.
-
Very nice!! Defo a fan of the Pirelli... look great in real life too!
-
Looking good pal!! :afro:
*cough* im sure ive seen a front end simular to that

Ha ha!! Pound shop.... sounds about right for Sharpie!! Bet he still doesnt know how much everything costs
-
Lovely car  I bought the Ed30 due to its limited status  Should have bought a Pirelli instead although I didn't like the look of the alloys, but they look quite nice on your close-up photos. Stil have to say that the yellow stiching looks rank though  As for the number plate up front, I don't know why you've got so many negative comments about it - some downright rude I think. I think it looks different ina nice way.

where did you get your clothes... the toilet store?
-
Great....a non-productive slanging match.
Sharpie...if you don't have anything constructive to say....f**k off out of this section.
Everyone else...ignore him....I'm sure he gets some kind of a stiffy out of winding people up.
I do think his sig is factual, but indicative of his demographic content!
-
just noticed you still have the holes from where the original plate was located. nice.

Pirelli GTI, Diamond Black, 18s, 3dr, Manual. Extras - Xenons Lux Pack Parking Sensors Cruise Highline and MFSW = The Don!
obviously don't want to be messing with the don. never realised that ghey factory options were required when enrolling in the mafia though - i'll bear that in mind when speccing my next car up.
-

Sharpie doesnt need a car... hes a kn0b jockey :smug:
-
Id love to see what you look like Sharpie...
I see from your profile that your 21....so I'm guessing that your just not lucky enough to be able to afford a MK5, hence your quite pathetic attitude towards anyone that owns one and modifies it to their own taste - which they are perfectly entitled to do. At the same time, you are also very entitled to your own opinion!
No doubt that if you had a MK5 of your own (which, by the way is never going to happen because you are going to continue living your life like a loser and even with depreciation factored in, will never be able to afford one), you would modify it differently, and to your own taste.
Going back to my original comment, I am quite confident that you look like a typical 'geek', and were bullied at school and also have no friends. I think that you sit in-front of your computer screen taking advantage and comfort of the whole nature of an online forum, that no-one can see you, and will probably never have the pleasure of meeting you - therefore you believe that you can say what you want. Nice idea, I must say that if i had a pen!s as small as yours, I would definitely adopt a similar approach!
I hasten to add...don't think that you have gained the upper-hand through causing me to react to your comments - because you haven't! I have quite enjoyed writing this reply, and do actually find most of your replies quite funny!
Maybe one day we will get the pleasure of meeting you. I, for one, look forward to it!
-
hahahaha brilliant!
All I really want is to see a photo of him, which will prob provide me with endless laughs seeing how much of a goon and a douche bag he is (yes i did use the word douche deliberately!)!
Chin up eh pal!
-
Yep the mk5 gti are beautiful i can only hope 2 one day own 1 lol, until then il settle 4 my mk4 gti, enyways how did u get ur pics up??

If your asking how to post pics you need to upload your photos to something like www.photobucket.com (http://www.photobucket.com) and then copy and paste the link on here. Will look something like this [IMG]photo-url-goes-here[/!IMG] (remove the '!'). You can just copy and paste the code from photobucket itself...its the IMG Code.
HTH Steve.

I don't think the front plate looks that bad at all TBH.
On the other hand i really do not like those wheels at all.
-
The wheels look very good in the flesh!! Even more so when the car is in motion

I'm sorry guys, but this post is rather quite funny....and that's from a MK5 owner
I see Ben Stiller's at one end, so that must mean Sharpie dropped off the other end after us MK5 owners :undecided:
-
i come under the 'human' category.

Is Ben Stiller your idol Sharpster?

Well that explains why you're such a comdiean Sharpie - certainly made me laugh     Laugh at you that is, not with you
-
As a neutral I find this all highly amusing. Sharpie is dropping in some classics and some of you MKV fellas really are funny as hell without meaning to be.
Keep up the good work both sides

I have to admit...the funniest part of this thread is his signature...! We dont have a leg to stand on really..

Too late! At least it is manual, not DSG, so the open foggies shouldn't be affecting the DSG fluid operating temps. :nerd:

Me too. I used to 'cross swords' with sharpie, but now I actually find him very witty, and very funny. Just don't take it personally, have a laugh, and chill. :afro:
And does it really matter if he doesn't have a Mk5?
-
Im still going for the ED30 TBH. I like the interior etc, but I dont like the alloys. I prefer the Monza's overall.
Also I dont like the number plate at the side.
Nevertheless, you have a great car overall, and a very desirable one at that!

Do you get the GTi seat badge's with the Pirelli, or is it aftermarket?

Really does look MUCH better in real life, in my opinion! The thing is, that cos he has blanked out all the text in the numberplate for the photo, it does look really lost and weird in the photo!

Great looking golf   great pics to nice to see one properly liking it alot  :afro:
