Title: 4 wheel aligment
Post by: crisis123 on 12 November 2008, 19:33
Recently had my steering rack replaced under warranty, when i got the car back, the steering wheel was 2-3 degrees off cetre.

I returned it this morning, they altered it and called me back for a test drive at lunchtime. Still not central, so they re-did it this afternoon and now its off to the opposite side.

I am leaving it until next week and getting it re-done.

Is it really that difficult to get the steering wheel central? It never seemed to be a problem for Vauxhall on my Astra, spot on first time.

It should be easy enough. Steering wheel is normally locked in the straight ahead position, then the front wheel alignment is adjusted.
