Title: Scratch on pescara Alloy!!!
Post by: Hatrick on 12 November 2008, 12:22
Scraped one of my pescaras on a kerb yesterday, ragin!!!!! Nearly two years of ownership and not even a mark on any of them!!! Whats the best way to have this repaired as its not that serious and I have seen an earlier post of someone having touch up paint.  Have to fix this, can't even bare to look at it!!!

Sorry for you mate ! I did one of mine after only 2 months ownership , after reading posts on here seems a nightmare to repair and keep right . I got a close match and put laquer over the top in quantity . I still know its there but have learnt to live with it for now , and so far the repair is holding up well (touch wood} after a further 8 months .

Cant see you getting a spot on match if you have it refurbed. One of mine is scratched and just learnt to live with it, still irritates me everytime I look at it but saves me £300ish having them all refurbed to match the colours.

Let your wife drive it. Stick a baby and a young kid in the back. You'll soon stop worrying about alloys. Suddenly it's just a car. My better half has dinged both offside front and rears. Lack of sleep and a tantruming son tend to make you just shrug it off. It's just a means of getting the family from A to B, safely, and occasionally having a spirited drive solo.
