As in the title really.
I would leave the bonnet and mirrors as they are now though
Here's a link to a site that has some examples.

I voted yeah!!! I loved Mad Max too!

not my bag hurdy to be honest!
-
i think the full wrap looks nicer than the strip
-
I went for the glossy carbon fibre. To match the bonnet, mirrors, interior fittings, badges.....
-
This is going to be as blunt as a brick......
So blunt I think you can guess what I am going to say
This is an extract from the website,
"Disclaimer Some of the
photos shown are examples
of what can be achieved
using the exact same film as
Carbon Skin currently fits."
I voted no btw lol.
-
ill add to my early comment.......

I think the fact that their example pictures show a Vauxhall and an Evo with it does says it all really....
Chavtastically.... NO
-
Hurdy.. do you have a carbon fetish?
BTW, I voted no.
-
Its a risky one but I think it could look quite good, so a YES from me

Hurdy, have you been reading Max Power by any chance? Or maybe been hanging around your local Halfords for too long?

Only kidding mate, its your car and your choice.
Its just that come GTI International I'll avoid you like the plague

....
NO WAY!!!! Anything vinyl wrapped is yuk      and especially anything pretending to be another material.
Very tacky and no class or style! IMO.
-
Oooooooo.!!
This one looks like it'll run, just got the quote back - a little north of £1,100 for a full wrap
Thought it would be a bit more TBH.
-
doctor has a 3.15pm slot free tommorow john
-
£1,100 for a sticker, NO NO NO
I reckon a silver carbon fibre roof would look ok though.
-
Might aswel stop off at Halfrauds and get some neon lights, lexus lights and a bean can exhaust aswel.
-
not my bag
-
Hurdy... why don't you just get a black Ed30... its the best colour as you have now come to recognise

On back order

If you really want to, then go for some genuine panels. These guys make Mk1 and 2 bits, I'm sure they could knock a few panels up for you.

Now that is worth investigating. As for the vinyl wrap, it reminds me of when I was at school and had to put vinyl wrap on my books and stuff.
However if you want to do it, it's entirely up to you. after all if you think it's cool , then do it.
-

don't do it!!!
-
Come on Hurdy, you're getting so much abuse over this, surely its time to come to your senses and drop the ghastly idea. We'ill all feign collective amnesia and pretend this unfortunate episode never happenned and your reputation will remain intact :lipsrsealed:
-
Do it!!! Be different, be original. I think it will look seriously cool in the flesh. Maybe the whole idea/concept is a little too crazy, but I think the finished product will look cool.
Id never do it myself, the most I'd do is do the bonnet and the roof - but I think it will make your car seriously special if you do.
ETTO.
-
I wouldn't mind it on just the roof actually. Would look a bit like the W12's roof .
-
Your choice obviously but IMHO - NO

Here are a few pics that Carbon Skin sent me
Still tempted as these pics look gorgeous, especially the Merc in the gloss CF wrap.
Remember this is a step above the run of the mill stuff you normally see and is partly done for show and partly to preserve the car against chips scratches etc

That carbon effect merc looks awesome!
Do it
-
do it  and i defo want my roof doing
-
I'd do it all in black though :)
And I prefer the carbon fibre effect!
-
without doubt Hurdy!!! Do it!
You obviously want to, otherwise you wouldnt have posted it up and researched it as you have.
You only live once....and probably wont have another ED30 after this one (im guessing?), so do whatever you want to do whilst you still have it! Thats my approach!
-
I went for a different opinion.I showed the pics to my wife..
mrs: "ooooooooooo thats nice".
me: "Would you like it on the GTI"?
mrs: "No"
Gulf.
-
I'm still not getting on with that Carbon Fibre, no matter what they do it will never have the depth of real CF.
I could go for that Matt Black though, certainly looks good on the GTR.
-
How about just the roof and bonnet?
-
Roof a bonnet is enough.
You can do the whole car if you don't mind being on the front of next month's Max Power .
-
Real carbon fibre.. fair enough, weight-saving performance mod.
Plastic wrap, much too Halfrouds...
