Title: What model is this brake bias valve off? (pic)

I bought this for my 8v 1990 gti but it isnt anythink like the one i took off the car. Any ideas what its off?

That doesn't look terribly new.

I'd suggest buying the correct, new part to replace that - a secondhand one might well leak when fitted and that would be a massive waste of time!

looks like a mk1 item to me! dffo not mk2 that for sure.  p.s. dont bother with 2nd hand regs, just get new! not that spensive off ebay!

Ive got another one lined up for £20 which is 30 quid cheaper than a new one. Hmmm should i risk it...

Ive just found a pic of a mk1 bias valve and it looks like rubjonnys correct, its off a mk1 :(
