Title: gt sport rear end?
Post by: JPC on 10 November 2008, 17:00
hi guys,
ive just ordered a 170 tdi gt sport 3dr.

I just wondered if anybody knows how the rear bumper is arranged?

is the unpainted bit just one piece? or is the lower part (the bit with the exhaust cutout) detatchable?

The whole bumper skin is in 2 sections only. The painted part and the lower unpainted section. The unpainted part is one piece. Just remove the screws from the edge of the wheel arch and underneath, then calrefully unclip the lower section. Can be a bit of a bugger, so it's sometimes easier to just remove the while bumper, which is pretty easy after removing the rear light clusters.

Hope this helps.
