Title: BUMPER/LIGHT PROBLEMS/CONVERSION!
Post by: chana22 on 10 November 2008, 15:30
HI!

i was wondering if anybody could help me with my gti mk2 8v.
it currently has small bumper on it but i want to convert it to big bumpers
i have purchased a big bumper for the front and when the time came to fitting it, i could only screw in one hole, where as the second hole just would not line up. the big bumper has different style brackets fitted onto it...so how do i come across this problem?? please help!

the other problem i have is that my car has power steering...whenever i lock the steering (either left or right) it makes an annoying sqeek and has started to make a real bad knocking noise coming frm the engine (this is all happening when the car is stationary)...can anybody help and is it safe for me to drive?

right...now for the last question...

how the hell do i fit fog lamps because i cant seem to find any wire even nearby the bottom of the bumper area...please help?!

thanks in advance for any replys!

Starters for 10 there..

And fog lamps - need the long loom piece. comes down from jsut behind the expansion tank. theres a plug there with a brown and yellow wire, and a brown iirc.. 2 pin.. theres an extra piece plugs into that and then goes down to the front to plug the fogs in.. goes lvie on the first click of the foglight switch, rears are on the second..
