Title: New VW Owner and New Forum Member - MK4 2.0 GTI

Hi

New to the forum. Bought a mark 4 golf gti a couple of days ago. Lovely car to drive but thought it would be a bit quicker! Need some advice Firstly wat is the best was to make it a bit quicker - Remap? and i want some angel eyes, im thinking of gettin the FK angel eyes. Does anybody know if they are hard to install?

swap it for the turbo  :wink: the lights are easy wip the bumper off and 4 bolts  :smiley:

Insurance would be too high for a turbo and would it not cost a lot to run? Think il go ahead and get some angel eyes!

Welcome mate. The 2.0 litre engines are really underpowered not really much point in doing a remap. Would just fit an exhaust and induction and maybe do some styling etc until you can afford the turbo. You would end up spending alot of money tuning the engine and still wont get as much power as a standard 1.8T.  :smiley:

Thanx for the welcomes. Yeah think i will just keep the mods to a minimum and get a 1.8 tubo in a year or so.

Welcome yep you best bet IMO.
 Get an insurance quote or 1.8T, you never know  :wink:
