Title: Oil warning light what is normal behaviour
Post by: The Silver Surfer on 10 November 2008, 13:19

16V 1.8 kr

Ok I need some help.

The oil pressure gauge reads 1.5 bar on idle. Then on reving the engine goes right up to 5bar.

With the ignition on, the red oil light flashes. Then when you start thecar it goes out normally and does not come on.

I've topped the oil up and now on idle the pressure gauge reads 2.5 bar.

The car pulls really well, it starts first time every time.

Any ideas, or am i convincing my self I need a VR6 OR G60 engine for christmass.

You don't need Christmas as an excuse to have a VR6 or G60 in your life.

It's fine.

NO ONE NEEDS A G60 or VR6.

Not for Christmas, not never.

An ABF, though..... now that would be a different matter entirely...... just not on K-jet.

and only on digi 3.2, eh?

You have got to admit the sound of a VR6 is orgasmic

If you'd come to the comp-safari yesterday you'd know what a proper orgasmic engine noise is.

V8s rule the roost.

you just start with digi 3.2   then later things move to aftermarket  and itbs or boost

and a v8  been driven hard makes the best noise

1 bar at idel when hot as well.    about 3 when cold.         3-5 bar went revving depending on revs and temp
