I posted on here a few weeks back about my car having trouble idling, low revs, cutting out, thought it was the fuel pump but no one could figure it out.
Had all the carb and air filter cleaned out.
Turns out it was my immobiliser!
It was cutting off the fuel so it wasn't coming through properly... It was failing!
Anyway had it all ripped out and on my back seat in bits now and she is like a different car! I love her!
Just wanna thank all you guys for your help, hints and tips!!!!!

Yes, I've heard of this problem with immobilizers.
In fact it's quite rare.
Usually caused by a mechanic wrapping a magnet around the immobilizers circuitry box to induce resistance of the capacitors, thus allowing more electricity to flow.
You knew that was coming.

It's not more electricity, it's BETTER electricity.
Placing a correctly sourced crystal would have had a similar effect on the aura of the vehicle, which is what makes the engine run right.

What utter rubbish, it's clear to see that removing the immobiliser has allowed the correct operation of the cars placebo.

i heard andywash was doing yoga in the boot :smug:

if you run on carb, how can the immobilizer cut off the fuel? you should have a mechanical pump!

I don't know but it was.
Maybe it shouldn't have been and that was the problem but my car is brilliant now!!!!
