Peteisspidey, how did you go about taking the old fuel pump out from the boot?
I can't seem to removed the black ring?
I assume you have to take it off to get the fuel pump out, does it screw off or lift etc?
PLease help i'm driving a Land Rover at the moment which is draining all my money!
Also there is something that is fixed under the car that i think could be inline with the fuel lines, its white and held in place with a black shroud. Is this ssomething to do with the fueling? anyone.
thanks for any help.

Hi!
The black ring is the hardest part of the whole process. It does unscrew but it is done up incredibly tight. At least it was on mine and sounds like it is on yours to. After that is off and the pump is disconnected the pump just twists and pulls out (if I remember right). To get the black ring off I had to go at it with a stick and a hammer to get it moving. Its a pain I know but as soon as that is off its plain sailing.
Good Luck
Pete
