Title: bye bye gti
Post by: whitegtidriver on 09 November 2008, 00:18
test drove a r32 dsg today, wow its great the way it changed gear so smoothly and drove so well has convinced us to stay with the golf 1st ever drive in a dsg even got to drive on the motorway and soon was at rather iffy speeds and the noise now i no what all the fuss is about. looking at a unregistered dbp with leather new touchscreen navi 5doors rear sensors and rear tints all for £22000 so its bye bye gti if the price can be chieseled down abit more. a quick question, does any one no how much the maintainence plan is please and whats covered thanks.

Excellent news...welcome to world of DSG'ers....sounds a great deal mate...did you get stuffed at trade in? just how bad is it out there.?...i haven't the nerve to take mine to a vw dealer, tried a local independent garage for a used similar spec one to yours (ex sat nav) but the silly person I was dealing with couldn't see logic and insisted on keeping the car on his forecourt to gather rust and lose him even more money.....

At this rate there will be more r32s on this site that GTI's !!

Are you serious....  a 5dr DBP DSG, Sat Nav and Leather for £22k ?!

This makes the deal I've been offered on a 3dr, DBP and Leather for £21.5k look steep!  That new Sat Nav is just soooooo cool !

i spoke to the dealer today who has said i can hand the car back to vw finance as i owe less than half and walk away.great i thought thats rid of that, i spoke to the insurance company (marks and spencers)who said they couldnt get me a quote (axa)due to it (r32)having non standard upholstery ie leather.half an hour later they foned back to say that the insurance will rise by £400 plus my current coverer (axa)wont insure me so ill have to start again losing 6months premium £230.

eurocanterbury vw 01227 826800 has avery nice dbp r32 with leather dsg 5drs and satnav for £22500 unregistered if anyones interested as i am no longer. gutted,,
