Title: Re:the artist formely known as mk216vdubbya
Post by: GavG60 on 31 May 2004, 09:20
the main reason I bought it....lmfao ;D

realised how slow my 16v was now! can't wait to 'catch up' with mr hawkins, old scores to settle, wounds to heal etc etc :D :D

Is that your bro's S3 on the rolling road write up? looks nice if it is, bit of a dark horse eh....

that limited is mental though! I was speaking to the guy from supergolfs, he's just flogged one for 5k with a perfect engine but rough body.....I could have cried....need some new wings etc. I would have killed for it.

lol ... well you're on for a rematch Gav, but the result should be academic (jammy devil)!

Still wating for those pics too - she sounds rather tastey !

As for my next mod I've started saving for the engine transplant and fancy something different. I quite fancy the Idea of getting a 2.2 via one of those modded cranks from the states ... OK a 2.0 16v would give me loads to play with, but there's only a handful of 2.2 8v in the country!

Anyway - I can't hi-jack Gav thread here ... cracking buy matey, and very jealous  ;D

Hey it's quite similar to your valver - have to transplanted any bits like the lights and the grill or that just a co-incidence ??

Shame the 'other half' knows - you could have had some fun and seen how long it took her to notice (not that I'm saying she's dippy or slow or anything, please!).

She looks lovely - what body part did you sell to get her?

PS. you can ?25k for a kidney in Turkey !!!

no transplants Dave, traded all bits in with 16v for my new baby.... ;D

she is gorgeous, but not too sure abnout the gold in the middle of the split rims? quite fancy them being all silver or chromed? anybody know if that's a straightforward process?

Cheers Marcus! yours is out there somewhere mate ;)

It's not too hard at all - if you have the cash and can get them done professionally, then that would be best, but a full refurb could cost a few hundred quid.

If you can spray yourself then, get them sandblasted at 10-15 quid a wheel and the rest of the expenspence is up to how thorough you want to be.

There will be a difference in the quality of finish, but depends on if the wallet can stretch!

Or flog them on eBay as 'Rare gold BBS Wheels', get a packet for them and buy another set .. some mug will pay up to ?400 the moment the word 'rare' is in there  ;D

you should have done a swap on some normal rm's with the supergolf dude :)

would need to take them apart to get them sprayed or polished. not that many places want to take the job on, it's not as easy as it appears!
