i didnt get them, the previous owner did  they came in the glovebox when i got the car. Ive heard people have bodged thes in the past though to make the screw on.

Would the shaft of a normal door pin push inside your chrome one's, perhaps after a bit of sanding etc??

my current door pin (only have it on drivers side) is one piece plastic pin. doesnt come apart.

Hehe, I meant hacksaw off the shaft section with the screw thread in it, and shove it inside the chrome one (if its thin enough).

alraldite, if you know you're never gonna take them off again, do a 50/50 mix of resin and hardener, and push it straight onto the rod. if you'll want to put the standards back on at some point, mix it at 70/30 resin and hardener - it will be a softer compound so you can just screw it on once it's set

thats a very good idea. Thing is i only got one of the old door pins
anyone got a spare?

PS... I wouldn't glue them in as you can bet as soon as you do, you'll need to get your door cards off for some reason.

I think you can still remove the door cards as they have a V shape cut out. You just have to move the plastic grommet square thingybob up the shaft beforehand.

Throw them in the bin! Problem solved...
