Title: sorry another question lol
Post by: Blu3Fo0T on 31 October 2008, 10:02
hey guys, ive found soem wheels with tyres as ive been after some new tyres for a few weeks but there from a mark 4 gti and i have a mark 3 gti, ive found that the fitment is the same size for both (5 x 100) the only difference is the tyre thickness is 65 instead of 50, would this cause rubbing on a non lowered car??

thanks for your time

depends on the size of the wheel. but they wont look great with a 65 profile

heh yeah ive been keeping my eyes peeled for some deep dishes, they look SWEET! these were only 100 quid for the 4 and they looked slightly better than the standard ones ive got at the moment and its going to cost me 70 quid to replace my two front wheels anyways lol but hey there sold now unfortunitly

any ideas on some decent deep dish brands for a reasonable price?

go to http://www.alloywheels.com

these are pretty cheap and come with tyres. there are some deep dish style wheels on here aswell.
Dont go for the AWC 5 spoke 17" deep dish wheel with the LOW OFFSET (ET20) as I rang them up and they
had problems fitting them to the mark 3 gti, catching the front brake calipers. :-(
**NOTE** I really wanted these wheels like..... I'm still looking for some now :-)

anyway hope this helps.

Have a look here, they seem pretty reasonable. I think you will get what you pay for though with wheels, cheap wheels are cheap quality.
