Hi all,
Fairly new here, so go easy ;-)
I'm picking my black, 55 plate GTI up tomorrow - and have a question about the Monza alloys. Do the monza 18's only come in that diamond cut/chrome effect, or can you get the 'normal' look in 18'? I wasn't too fussed with what wheels the car came with - because they both look nice on the GTI. I have to admit, i have been put off the 18's, since I was told they can't be repaired, in curbed.
Will post some pictures up when I get a chance.

I'm sure you'll love the 5 hour drive back
18" monzas, as far as I know, just come with the diamond cut face

?, most fakes are diamond cut that i have seen ?, 18's that have been painted are ones that have maybe been kerbed

Funny you mention this as im in the process of getting mine refurbish after a nasty argument with a kerb (which I lost) earlier on this week. Mine are 17 and have been told by VW that they are dimond cut two tone alloys. This CAN be refurbished but have been told that it will need to be sent away to be repaird.
Hope this helps.

Monza's also come in matt black too. Although they have a different name (Rockingham/Detroit IIRC)

Where abouts are you as im hearing of more and more places that can now re-create the finish on the Monza 2?
Enjoy picking up the new car
