Was walking along a road, came up behind this camper that was parked. Looked well sweet, looked like he'd spent a lot of time and money into restoring. Was a prime example you know??! Looked at the front of it, he'd had a special badge made up out of chrome to go just below the vents, that said V O L K S W A G O N right across the front. Looked cool i thought, then i noticed that i was being a bit slow and that he'd spelt volkswagen wrong, he'd put it an "O" instead of an "E". Made me feel a bit slow as it was obvious really!! Did anyone notice that i'd spelt it wrong a few sentences ago, or is it sub-concious that you read it as it should be??! I'd have felt VERY foolish having that on the front of my type 2!! If it had been an E it would have looked very stylish though!

i stand to be corrected but i think alot of the camper peeps call em wagons instead of wagens - in an ideal world im sure the aircooled guys would still be pulled by horses ;) :D

Odd??!! Anyway, i thought that someone like would obviously want to show it, and the people that would go to the shows would notice and laugh??

funny you say that, at work we have a database of most cars and under manufacturers we have volkswagen and volkswagon, i think its something to do with commercial vehicles or something like that. i stand to be corrected...
