did this a while ago so there may be the odd glitch but shoudl all be there. may do somethgin later to add a bit more detail clarity
here goes
labels wireign diagram for the ABF, stuff in green you won't need to do anythign with, that lot goes straigth from the ecu plug to ether the multiplug onthe enigne or various sensors around the engine the stuff in red boxes you'll need to do somethign with if compoent dosen't have box it is optional

that lot should help you sort through loom and find / correct and mistakes or faults, may do a guide on how to connect it into both pre and post 90 fuesboxes next time i do one

look of any use to any one ?
-
Sheesh, give 'em a chance to digest it!

I'm sure this will help many people, just needs to be moved into the Maintenance section now to stop it getting lost in the void that is the MK2 section
-
good stuff, as you say all it needs to finish it is pin numbers on fusebox, right now with a bit of thought these can be figured out from the fusebox faq. worth mentioning maybe if fitting to a MK2 the mk2 coil is worth keeping as it'll run the rev counter, plus its more reliable than the MK3 coil
-
you can run mk2 rev counter off mk3 coil without much bother,
working out the fusebox pins isn't hard did have it worked out at one point but syncro specific issues sort of stoped it working as should
-
yeah if ya open it up n run a wire to a terminal, unless you know of an easier way?
tbh main reason i use mk2 coil is the mk3 ones are a bit rubbish, plus mk2 coil n tcis are cheap as chips and pretty much bomb proof, that and you dont need to do any wire splicing to get it working, except the trigger wire of course.
dunno, just havin a wire running inside a coil seems a bit bodgy to me
-
running wire of the LT contacts isn't really dodgey, or intergrating the mk2 tcis and loom, both methods work.
my preferd method is to drive the tacho with the tcis chip then also use the signal to trigger a coil on plug setup
-
yeah if it works it works, i just dont like mk3 coils :)
hmm so you can have your cake and eat it too
-
ain't useing coil on plug on the car yet as don't yet need . VAG coil packs are even less reliable than mk3 coils  so fitting them to an engine that dosen't need them would be gay
