Only new buyers please.
I'm wavering, thought about an Evo X, then a GT-R. But I love the hatchback format for a day to day car.
If Honda do bring out a hybrid Civic type R with 5 doors and a DSG style gearbox then I might be tempted. My VW sounds like a one man band with squeeks and rattles compared to the humble Honda I owned before, Jap stuff is very good, unfortunately.
-
Most likely a GT-R, but wouldn't rule out a GTI-R and convert the ED30 to a track car.
-
im not really sure to be honest as i have only had the car a month.
-
I'd probably go for a 1-series BMW, maybe a 123D M-sport.
-
Why only new buyers? Do ours not count?
My car is on a 3 year finance (bought her May) and the plan is to get an S3 after (in white :D). Just got to wait and see how things are going in 3 years.

My next car will be either a WHITE S3, or a BMW 135i

Given the current rate of depreciation probably a Toyota Aygo 1 litre!
-
Things go well... Masrati GT
Things go bad... Cadillac BTS
Stay the same... R32 with a turbo
-
As a new buy the TT RS has to be worth a look with 350Bhp with 390BHp options

I've not given it a thought, got what I wanted

Let us know as soon as you have decided MR Nosher we will have a whip round, as long as you dont buy another VW
And i agree you do sound like a one man band always squeaking and rattling. :lipsrsealed:

Just crash the party like I did.
-
wouldnt mind a cheap R32 after the gti, for 6 months or so, then probs an s3 or gti-r or evo 9
-
From new since July 2005, Will consider the Mk6GTI next year or might have a look at a BMW 330d M sport Tourer (manual).
-
Can you let me know when this thread is open to paupers who didn't buy their GTi from new...
I suggest you start your own thread "What secondhandcar will you buy next?" It's easy to do.
-
Any Audi 'R' will do me, or of course the MK5.5 GTI!
-
Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft must be doing something right. Most of you plan to stick with them.
-
im thinkin changing to a bmw 335i coupe, must be black and manual or new shape m3 coupe manual in most colours except black.

Great cars.
-
^^^they are the only other cars that apeal to me at the mo,trouble is trying to find a black manual 335i with out some beige or light grey leather is quite difficult (2nd hand) and when i do find dark grey leather it has normally got half oak tree plastered all across dash/doorpanels
-
focus rs. chavtastic!
-
I love the hothatches so I guess...Audi and VW will always be big contenders.
Not a fan of the 1 series BMW, CTR, Leon, anything French.
Seen as I still live with the parentals I guess a house/appartment is next on the list so I want to keep hold of the Ed30 for a while yet, possibly go down the slippery slope of modifying it aswel.

What's to say I don't plan on buying brand new next time? I'm only curious as to why you think it makes a difference.
What about the poor chap who has bought nearly new? Presumably you're not interested in his feedback?

what you have to remember is egbert is a bit of a tool

i think he is busy  , big fan of yours though

Maybe a 130i M Sport.. :undecided:
-
Hmm tough question. Will definitely go out of the hot hatch class.
Nissan GTR, BMW M3, 335i, Evo/Scooby, Z4M Coupe , I just dont know! So many cars, so little time!!
-
I'm liking the 335 coupe or any other high powered beemer diesel at the moment. 123d coupe is quite quirky.
VW are not as well built as they used to be. End of.
-
Once you get used to the speed and smell of a new car then the deftness of it's control takes centre stage. A car must have good, linear steering above all. I suspect the Mk2 GTI has this (hence people love them) and most BMWs are pretty good in the steering department. The Mk5 is just above average and because of this I think it won't become a classic.
It's really nice not to be loyal to one brand. The world is then your oyster.

You have just sent a shiver down Wolfsburg's back.

Keep drinking then nosher
-
I am sure they will do fine without me
it is bizzare though that they stop selling the mk5 as sales werent as good as they thought they would have been then they release the mk6 when the worlds in financial meltdown? who thought that one thru?
-
Sat in a Nissan main dealers car park back in April just didnt have the balls to go from German to Jap and order the new GTR, soon as I saw it at the Goodwood Festival of speed I was gutted, what a motor. My mates just orderd one, delivery MARCH 2010 !!!
-

....The Mk6 development, and hence launch, timeframe will have started a very long time ago (as soon as the Mk5 was launched) and at that time no-one could accurately predict the current financial situation of today.
Anyway, most of it is being bigged up by the media. Tomorrow is another day.
-
m3 or rs4 but will not be buying new unless 50k just happens to fall in to my bank acc..... :grin:but a evo or s3 will do for me.
-
....
I don't have any plans to change from my very modified GTI for a long time. However, the cars on a shortlist for test driving would be a R-GTI (whatever it may be called), an Evo X, and a BMW X6 - I've just seen one in dark red and it looked the biz and would be very practical.

Yep, Vermillion Red is absolutely stunning! Best colour for it currently available IMO.
-
A deisel BMW 3 series estate maybe but not new as they are too expensive. BMW have the best deisel engines around IMO.
-
....
BMW have some of the best petrol engines around too! They make superb engines and have done so for some time.
-
mine is gonna be 3 years old in Mar 2009.
So been thinking...do some tinkering or change cars?
Have looked at used RS6's, M3's and the Scirocco.
Running costs of first 2 scare me. And Scirocco doesn't quite cut it for me.
do fancy something RWD tho as done the FWD / 4WD thing now.
-

....There was a superb RS6 Avant for sale via APS at Castle Combe this summer. I think it was an 03 plate, 75k miles, but religiously maintained and with literally £40k spent on full Sportec mods. Extremely quick and all for £30k.
There are some excellent value M3's around but you'd have to spend a lot on modifying a Scirocco to make it at all exciting imo.
Whether you tinker or renew, cars will always cost you money but it's the joy of driving them which is more important imo.

I also have a 2006 3 Series Estate 320d auto, nice to drive but the run flats are s**t. AMD have just remapped a diesel 3 series with great results .....well it would be rude not to wouldnt it.
-
Hello mr crapster. Friendly south african saying hello. If the nissan gtr comes to sa my dad wont be replacing the gti but will be ordering one. The gti is a work of art. If my family wanted something faster we would get it. The new merc sl65 amg is being considered since we had a play with one in the golfie :).
-
Oh and mr nosh bar. Get off your high horse of "new owners only". Your car is bog standard and you have only ever posted two pics of it. So you are hardly one to talk sweetness.
-
This is abit difficult to answer...finish uni in 3 years and hope to keep the R32 till then....if i had to choose a new car like within the next few months would deffinatley be an M3, C63AMG or possibly wait for the new RS4...love the cars in that league...unless my taste changes we'd need to wait till then!
And Micsta! Nicely done
-

Me thinks you and MR nosher need a weekend away together i sense a slight difference of opinion's
Ps you are adding fuel to his fire i bet every time he reads one of your posts he gets a slight twitch in his groin
-
In that case im gonna continue tc. Its not like im going to get banned. Besides. I sense the twitch i give him is the only pleasure he has in his life. We wouldnt want to take that away from him now would we? we love you too much for that mr noshi.

Manu. . . The c63 amg is an absolute beast. Im terrified of that car. It looks evil and is evil. I must admit. The jag xkr has found a soft spot in my heart. . . . But then again i have always liked a gucci/armani hand stitched interior and a lovely v8 to destroy most things on the road. . . .
-
I'd love a c63, I've had a few drives of my uncles cl63 and that's awesome, so the same engine in a lighter, less conspicuos car..... Oh yes please!
-
Used to see C63's and better all over Puerto Banus in summer and absolutely fell in love with it...but its not that time for me to get a new car and doubt id get round to insuring anything more than a 3.2 at 19 at the moment...so il wait will im about 21+
-
Manu. I hope your dad knows that his step son over here in south africa cant wait to get the hand me down r32 from you when dad buys you a new car. :). I expect it to be shipped the second your merc arrives hehe. Gotta try my luck. Lol
