THe 5 door S3 or the 5 door BMW 1 series (quick version whatever that is) might be my next allrounder.
Is it better than your Edition 30 GTI?

Happity bday mate.

Driven both (but not a performance 1 series - 120d)
S3 3 door is good.
BMW in 1 series form is REALLY cramped in the rear and looks like an unfinished BMW project :lipsrsealed:. Rear-wheel drive is okay, but in our climate (and IOM) makes for tentative progression in the wet or in icy conditions  even with a diesel burner under the bonnet.

How did this topic go soooooo far off topic? :undecided:

Back to the topic.
I heard on the radio yesterday that number plates with the Cross of St George, Welsh Dragon, Union Jack and Soltaire are also being banned, we can only display the Euro blue design with the gold stars! Car with these plates will fail an MOT.
It's maddening.
Also I bought my lad plates from Demon with the St George cross and CF embossed numbers.
Are CF embossed numbers also outlawed?

On their website it says that the first three designs in their build-a-plate setion are legal, but the others are illegal fonts and cannot be used as on-road plates.
