At a guess:

Stage 2 Revo
APR or Milltek Exhaust

Future mods

DV
S3 Intercooler
Cupra R Brakes
FARB and RARB
KW Coilovers V2's
VWR Quaiffe LSD

Wait a minute that seems suspiciously similar to my shopping list

Is that torque figure a typo
Title: Re: AWESOME
Post by: topher on 23 October 2008, 19:23
sounds about right if its in Nm.. works out to 310ish lbft.

Post by: bacillus on 23 October 2008, 19:27
I think Gaz is weighing up what he's up against this Saturday...
Title: Re: AWESOME
Post by: gazbutmk5gti on 23 October 2008, 19:27
Agreed, but awesome don't usually quote Nm, ben and me made around 350ft/lb on their rollers. Seems strange to quote metric torque and old skool power, usually KW and Nm or BHP and ft/lbs

don't think there'll be any trophies for me this time pal
Title: Re: AWESOME
Post by: Hurdy on 23 October 2008, 19:34
Ahem,

Yes I'd say it is either a typo, so 321lbft - or in nm 421 = 310lbft (as toph says)

Either way I would expect both those figures to rise a little by Saturday as the ECU will be slowly adjusting to the remap  (assuming both rollers are calibrated similarly)

The guy on tuning said it is the highest torque readout he has done on a standard turbo ed 30, that is what they told me, roll on saturday.

Post by: gazbutmk5gti on 23 October 2008, 19:49

Title: Re: AWESOME
Post by: topher on 23 October 2008, 19:49
that's a shocking amount of torque then, the graph must look very strange!

nevermind the clutch you'll need new front tyres every 1000 miles

I know what your saying Phil it does sound incredible.

Although it isn't just a map,     fuel pump, intercooler, exhaust and a map to suit from the same company, all the products developed together.
But it does sound a lot, we'll see
Title: Re: AWESOME
Post by: Saint Steve on 23 October 2008, 19:58
Yes looking foward to seeing the results, hope it goes well Gaz and the weather holds for you all.

Remember , photo's,Cam corders, are to be taken and  a full report on everyones Results

Are these the rollers that suburu use??? did someone say or have i got wire crossed?. So many RR days coming up!
Title: Re: AWESOME
Post by: gazbutmk5gti on 23 October 2008, 20:01
yes they are apparantly, but from my experience they produce similar results to awesomes tbh, my car made 304bhp on prosports with just the map, then the other week 320ish on awesomes with the map and full milltek tbe which is about right from a full TBE.

Is it true that 4 wheel drive rollers can be Slightly out as they are better suited to 4 wheel drive cars (Tend to Under-read rather then over).Had a

conversation with vRStu last week and he put his S3 on some 4 wheel drive rollers and it came out producing 248bhp???.He's now remaped since!.

not sure pal, I know that there are problems getting accurate results from the cars running haldex 4wd because of the power shifts etc.

but we all know about the variations from rolling road to rolling road, at some point we'll have to have a mega RR meet somewhere in the midlands,
north v south?

Does seem strange that he has the same mods as Zboyd (bar the IC) but has loads more power and torque.. Must be because it's a ED30..
