I want to remove the passenger airbag on my VR6 and install a monitor! ;)
How easy is this to do? Any plaCes in Herts that will do it without ripping me off?
Cheers

Do it ya self m8 i did it the other week to replace my faulty airbag.
1. Remove the shelf underneath the passenger airbag
2. Then youll see 3 nuts that hold in the airbag :) undo these
3. Remove the airbag and unplug it
Thats it m8 but your drivers airbag wont work with it removed unless you can get someone to disable the passenger airbag using VAGCOM software.
Post some pics of ya monitor installed when done m8 :)

Cheers for that!!
My VR6 is a bit strange as it has a glove box as well as a airbag! Gawd knows why, so I will have to remove that as well to get to the airbag!
I will post a pic as soon as I have it done ;D

Remember to disconnect your battery before attempting to remove the airbag .

Golfy-Fun - the later model VR6's and GTI's all have dual airbags and still have the (small!) glovebox on the passenger side - even my cabriolet has that setup... it was one of the first things that GolfVR6 noticed when I took my car around to see him.

Ive got an L reg 93 VR6 with the dual airbag setup but i have'nt got the small glove box :(
Has anyone got a pic to show me to show how it differs :)
