Title: Mk1 Cab 1.8 8v Manifold?????
Post by: lbgeorge22 on 22 October 2008, 17:48
hey folks,
I'm a newbie with my first cab on my first project.
I was wondering whether anyone can give me advice on what exhaust manifolds there are available? I have a 1.8 8v gti 87. I really want to rebuild it from the ground up.
I need to know what manifolds are out there. I want a 4-2-1 but havent a clue what ones there are or where to get them! and worst of all how much i should really pay for one!

Any advice would be tremendous.

I'm going to start to put my pics up soon!

Thanks

i would never spend money on a 4 branch for a mk1, unless it was for a 16v conversion one ;)
the oem 6 bolt 4-2-1 actuallt flows pretty well, especially for a 1.8 8v!

Whats the top speed and bhp for the 1.8 8v? Is it anywhere near the 1.8 Gti?

depends if it has injection or is a carby, carby 1.8 is 90bhp, injection is 112.
