Title: abf into mk2 conversion
Post by: Mattudor on 21 October 2008, 16:34
What exhaust system do I use? will it have to be a custom jobbie? Im guessing custom manifold with a mk2 aftermarket system?

If thats true any ideas how much a custom manny costs?

OEM MK2 16v will fit perfect, all you need to do is have a lambda bung welded into downpipe if you plan to run it on ABF managment.  Or swap the downpipe for a MK2/Corrado G60 item, plus cat or a cat bypass. Bolts right to std 16v manifold and front silencer and has lambda bung already in place.
P.S. ABF manifold is the same as a MK2 16v one, and also Corrado/Passat 9a manifold will also work :)

sweet, thanks a lot :)

so It's literally a straight engine swap... no other shenanigans required?

the short answer is, it depends!
what engine do you have now, and wat managment did you want to run the abf on?

ABF swap isn't exactly a hard install.       useing the EFI is easyer in the long run  k jet easyer in the short term if the car allready has it
