Title: mark 3 golf speaker wires please help

Guys just upgrading my speaker in my golf 3 from the standard ones, however the speaker wires havent been labelled + and -. The wires are blue and brown does anyone know which ones are positive and negative? so i can wire them in phase please help.

Blue w/ green is +
Brown w/ red is -

brown is normaly negative......... on car stereo.......
