As far as I know it does not slow a car down. But does protect it from stone chips etc and SA roads are notoriously poor.
Mike

Egbert nosh - stop winding people up. The fact you say you were going to make a comment by making it is not the right way to "win friends and influence people"
and has been deleted.

Those wheels are sex! I am not very familiar with any of your engine modifications. Do you know what BHP you car is running. By the looks of that burnout, quite a lot
-

Mike
I see the problem now. You misunderstood my post.
If you look at the first picture there is a statue of Beethoven on the GTI's bonnet.
It was not a dig at the car's owner, just a bit of banter.
-
Thats very nice Egbert. Really it is.
We love you so much.
Now get lost you fool. I dont know how any moderator can put up with you.
Mike.
**Please ignore the forum troll**

tks, power is around 250BHP at the wheels....Forge is from the UK, so is Aquamist...FRC hails from Netherlands but we have a tuner here in SA who custom tunes FRC maps...I log data and he tunes from there as we tune the car according to mods...

This car looks like a standard GTI. Do you swap the mods back and forth?
-

He is a new member introducing himself you dont need to dismantle his tastes. Why should he be slated for eyebrows
-
he will change his wheels for going up the strip and i like the car, its good not to be the same as everyone else  maybe i would ditch the eyebrows but it looks  and that bra will stop the bloody stone chips
-
The bras are quite good. A cheap and distinctive mod. And very VW.
-
I have a bra for mine, cant beat a bit of dressing up hey!

mk2's and 3's go very well with them, but not 5 imo :undecided:
-
tks for the positive comments...as for the bra, its an OEM VW part and helps alot with stone chips...the car is OEM+ ...

Any chance of the OEM part number for your bra as mine is aftermarket but would prefer the genuine article!

ive always wonderd that??

i reckon whatever material it is if dirt gets bellow it you will have issues with paint, if your after paint protection i would rather go with a Paintshield type product, and if you like the looks of the "Bra" then perhaps a Piantshield product below the Bra.
-

not at all...i am sure VW thought of this before designing and manufacturing them...
-
You do have to keep the bonnet clean underneath the bra as yes you could get rubbing issues. They are only meant to be put on for a short period and not meant to be used all of the time. If you keep them on for a prolonged period the paint starts to sweat and looks cloudy, this does clear after time though.
-
Love the car mate - looks spunktastic!
Bonnet bra is a bit of a let down. Could we some pics without the bra on?

it is now common knowledge that bra's should be worn at night as well and correct fitting done at all times most people tend to get one size to big thus causing sag and indeed chaffing. I think yours looks wonder bra. :lipsrsealed: :lipsrsealed: :lipsrsealed:
Ps stealth you have only just met him and you are asking to see him without the bra on

Your gonna get some deadly static after your workout Mark
P.S. Loving the bra on the MK2  I would imagine the older a car gets the more need for support
-

Yeah I wished it was a girl I was saying it to!

-
very nice car, nice mods, not a fan of bras but if it serves a purpose
I have the headlamp film to do to mine, might try and get it done this weekend
was a bit worried it will look too dark but may as well give it a go any way
did you put it on yourself?, is it easy to do?

tks, did you get the precuts? if so it is pretty simple to fit...it is very thick and you would need a strong blade to trim...word of advise...use a hairdryer/heatgun to dry...bubbles will come out after time....hope this helps...
here is a decent pic that we took recently...what you think?
-
nice photography, must be a cert for the calander
my tint fim isn't precut, the uk supplier only sells it in different size rolls but i've got a decent stanley knife
will have a go tomorrow, should be dry enough to let me get the lights off the car, damn scottish climate
