As far as I know it does not slow a car down. But does protect it from stone chips etc and SA roads are notoriously poor.

I see the problem now.  You misunderstood my post.
If you look at the first picture there is a statue of Beethoven on the GTI's bonnet.

It was not a dig at the car's owner, just a bit of banter.

tks, power is around 250BHP at the wheels....Forge is from the UK, so is Aquamist...FRC hails from Netherlands but we have a tuner here in SA who custom tunes FRC maps...I log data and he tunes from there as we tune the car according to mods...

i reckon whatever material it is if dirt gets bellow it you will have issues with paint, if your after paint protection i would rather go with a Paintshield type product, and if you like the looks of the "Bra" then perhaps a Piantshield product below the Bra.

not at all...i am sure VW thought of this before designing and manufacturing them...
Title: Re: newbie
Post by: markymark on 22 October 2008, 13:32
You do have to keep the bonnet clean underneath the bra as yes you could get rubbing issues. They are only meant to be put on for a short period and not meant to be used all of the time. If you keep them on for a prolonged period the paint starts to sweat and looks cloudy, this does clear after time though.

it is now common knowledge that bra's should be worn at night as well and correct fitting done at all times most people tend to get one size to big thus causing sag and indeed chaffing. I think yours looks wonder bra.  :lipsrsealed: :lipsrsealed: :lipsrsealed:

Ps stealth you have only just met him and you are asking to see him without the bra on

very nice car, nice mods, not a fan of bras but if it serves a purpose

I have the headlamp film to do to mine, might try and get it done this weekend
was a bit worried it will look too dark but may as well give it a go any way
did you put it on yourself?, is it easy to do?

tks, did you get the precuts? if so it is pretty simple to fit...it is very thick and you would need a strong blade to trim...word of advise...use a hairdryer/heatgun to dry...bubbles will come out after time....hope this helps...

here is a decent pic that we took recently...what you think?
