Does anyone know what should be connected to the yellow valve circled?
it's whistling away nicely waiting for something to block it off
thanks

oh nice heater bypass valves
-
stick a nice whistle on the end of it  make a better whistling noise then

Brilliant, thanks kind peoples - I'll have a scrabble around in the puddles under the car and have a look for it!
I took out the bypass valves cos they were all blocked up, replaced the heater matrix with a mk3 one (the start of all my most recent woes) the job's only taken 2½ days so far

im one of these who think if the heatermatirx hasn`t popped by this point in the cars life it probably wont do so, so would have just ripped the vales out and carried on ha (relating to the original defective parts recall)
re the cap/bung - ive seen bits of hose with bolts to block the end, plastic corks glued in - the lot.. so dont worry if you cant find it.

Hi my heater isnt blowing through hot air and from reading other posts im thinking its the valves. Wasnt sure exactly where they are but is it the orange/copper coloured pipe in the pic? cheers

yes mate...
re defective brakes - yeah but your car will be cheaper to run, ECOTEC valve without the eco!
