TT was ripping it to shreds last week.
About your Bently manauls there was some one on here mentioning they have them and that was with in the last 10 days i cant remember who though

That was me.
I have found the Bentley Manual, cd version rather then the subscription, to be well worth the $100 it cost. It gives detailed diagrams and text of all of the car bumper to bumper. It can be a bit odd when searching for something in particular but it does have proceedures for the removal and install of everything.
One thing to note is that the free updates last a year from your first activation, after that you need to pay a sub for continued updates. These include TSB, but they tend to be the VW USA technical updates.

The software the dealers use, contains manuals, technical procedures, checks, electrical diagrams, TSB's, etc.

182_blue, it's the full techie VW software over several DVDs. Covers a lot more than a Bentley manual ever will do. Plus can enter chassis number for exact car specs etc.
-
i have a bently M3 manual and its the dog bollocks, full blown diagrams just like real OEM !
can imagine the bently manual for the golf being good !

I have the Bentley manual for my BMW. It's much easier to take a book out to the car than refer to the technical CD (which I also have) on a laptop.
If anyone could source a supplier for the Mk5 of the bentley manual I will buy one.

Haynes Manual is known as the book of lies in the trade, some of the old ones had shocking errors, hence why TT was ripping to shreads I guess

Following the above link leads to a VW repair CD, published by VW, not Bentley. It appears Bentley do not do the book for the MK5 GTI.

not sure about books, but they do a DVD rom for the MK5 http://www.bentleypublishers.com/product.htm?code=VAG6 , they are made with VW's involvement, but i thought thats how all Bentleys stuff was done, should make them better i guess :undecided:

Probably about the best description really. Way too many "old skool" errors still keep cropping up in HBOL.

So come on - anyone want to tell where to get ElsaWin from? I use ErWin, but have to pay for that each time I need sommat!
