Folks,

My mk1 will be on the telly again...

Men and Motors Channel, 9pm 2nd of June, "Top Dog"

Here's the blurb...

   Join Penny Mallory for another exciting instalment of the contest where two car owners get together to battle it out in an attempt to prove that their car is the 'Top Dog.' The 1983 Golf GTi versus the 1982 Ford Escort XR3 at the Heritage Motor Centre at Gaydon in Warwickshire, whilst a panel of experts watch on. These include Ron Rudra (motoring engineer) and motoring journalists John Lakey and John Moon. The cars compete at the Castle Combe Racing track where the Golf reaches an exceptional speed, raising the question; will the Escort be able to keep up?

Exceptional speed eh? Sounds fun... I don't remember going that fast.... just what's normal for a GTI!!  8)

The Golf reaches an exceptional speed, raising the question; will the Escort be able to keep up?.
