Anybody know how the MK4 R32 is on fuel? Are they exspensive to run?
-
u need a tanker to follow you.
-
That bad are they?
-
yup. Get a 1.8t and mod it and make it faster than a r32 they only have 237bhp
-
I would say prob around £50 - £60 depending on how you were to drive it but your prob better off as stated getting a turbo and tweeking the naggers off it  esp if you got the money to buy a R32 you will have no prob gettign the turbo past 200 bhp
-
buy the R32 looks the nuts and rarer than the turbo

then do a twin turbo conversion and turn it into a 550bhp monster

They're not that bad on fuel. Pretty good infact compared to other engines of similar capacity, like the straight six you get in beemers. As someone said in another thread recently, if you have the choice between the two.. and you get the GTI, you'll be pleased as punch with it.. they're awesome cars, but you'll still stop and stare when an R32 rumbles past.

Agree with toph

I've got an Audi TDI that I use for work and love it to bit's but there something about reving the nuts off a N/A, buy a diesel and you 'll love it but part off you must still yearn to rag a N/A car.
-
Swings in round abouts, I still love coming off the throttle and listening to the "whhh tisssh" sound of my turbo, that shall NEVER get boring lol. Simple minds tho aye ;)
