Some brilliant suggestions there. (Phil, you only know that I paint my toes, because you did them last time !!)
Its a sample of Pescara touch up paint. I went back to the body shop, who repaired the wheel damage, after the incompetent tyre fitter sliced through the top layer. Took my jam jar and asked for a sample.
To be honest its as thin as water with a silver metallic fleck in it.
If the weather is fine this weekend I'll give it a go and report back.

A spot on match, but I wouldn't lay odds on it setting quickly
-
but i bet theres well enough metal fillings in the oil to give it that "just washed" pescara look
-
Looking forward to the result on this, any news yet?
I am hoping it is a straight out a tin with a code rather than a custom mix..

Pescara alloy wheel paint match:-
The paint in the little jar (at the start of the thread) is:- 66009 Lechler base coat sparkling glass. To get the best results you need to give it a clear top coat.
http://www.metalflake.co.uk/product_details.php?id=L66009
The paint itself is as thin as water. Since I took that picture in the original post a third of it has evaporated from a sealed jar!! But at least when I come to use it next time it might be easier to apply.

Hi TagnuT,
Very helpful buddy, have you found the holy grail of Pescara paint?
I’ll let my paintshop have a look.
Cheers hotrod
