Title: Scumy reservoir tank
Post by: Steve_B on 13 October 2008, 19:00
I've just left my reservoir tank in a bucket of bleach and water overnight but it looks as scumy as ever. Anyone know a way of getting them clean?

Cheers
Steve

I was going to suggest bleach. Try repeating this and it should sort it. Make sure it is well rinsed before tring again.

good point. You will probably spend a tenner on cleaning products and brushes and cloths to clean it.

took the sensor out first, didn't know how it would respond to bleach. If this doesn't work, I'll be using the discount.

it will probably get scummed up again fairly quickly unless your blocks coolant passages are mint.

golfgti discount. Just say your a member of golf gti and they will take (10%?) off.
Went to the pourtsmouth one the other day and just before paying i asked for discount from golfgti forums and the guy said "yeah ive already included it in that" so sometimes you dont even have to ask. As long as they see your the owner of the golf they will automaticaly discount it.
Ask just to make sure u recieve it though.

Steradent works wonders.  Those are the fizzy tablets that old folks use to clean their falsies.

as krakky says, mention here or e38, and its not 10% it varies dependant on wot you buy

recipet should say owners club discount account   ( or similar ) when you get it - makes them as cheap as halfrauds using my ttrade card :afro:
