Title: Decat 8v gti?

Just a QQ guys...

Basically wondering if anyone has decatted there 8v gti?

I'm thinking about doing it to mine but with the stainless exhaust i think it might be too loud! But will feel a lot smoother?

Any recomendations etc would be great.

had one on my old 8v, but i also had stainless steel manifold and only a rear box as replaced the centre box with a srtaigth thru pipe.

in terms of sound i can really say as i decatted the same time i replaced my manifold. but i would think it would make it abit louder as your replacing it with a straight thru pipe, if that makes sense  :undecided:

the car did feel more smoother with the full exhaust. oh and it was loud  :grin: :grin:

Yea i get ya! Well ive currently got a stainless cat-back also without the middlebox and its very loud as it is.

That looks good and would be good for MOT and plod reasons but i cant justify spending £230 on a performance cat atm! :grin: I might make a decate pipe out of my old exhaust that ive got lieing about and see what happens!
