Title: Milkshake
Post by: Rosie on 13 October 2008, 14:20
Possibly in the wrong section here. Anyway, you know how it is, you're driving along, quite happy, when the small child in the back of your car spots a McDonalds and starts screaming about it. So we pull up to the drive though and get the kid a happy meal (hoping that it will live up to it's name). The kid seems happy. All is well, untill.....the little......darling spills strawberry milkshake all over the back seat.

I was on the motorway at the time so there wasn't really a lot i could do. when we got a chance i stoped, threw my daughter out the car and tried to scoop the milkshake into the empty box, then i wiped it with babywipes and dabbed it with tissues. It was a few days ago it happened and it is looking ok. But there is an obvious stain.

HELP! What can i do???

That is so wrong but funny as fook!

There is a valet spray you can get from Halfords that is really good. Spray on and leave for 30 secs and wipe off. If the stain does not come out on the first instance, repeat this process. It does work as I have used it on my interior.

Good luck!

Already done that. She was told in no uncertain terms that i couldn't sell her on ebay for what my car is worth and that she was never to be near me or my car again.

Right a trip to halfords it is then  I'm just so sad...

I can vouch for this stuff, cant remember what it's called but the bottle is yellow and green with a brush attatched to the lid. Spray it on, spread/scrub it round with this brush, leave it a minute or whatever then wipe off.

Works a treat.

Best thing to cure the child is patronisingly put a plastic sheet on the rear bench every time they get in the car, making sure to make a massive thing of it infront of their friends etc. Either that or tip a milkshake of their prized possession!
